UNIUYO announces 130th inaugural lecture



The University of Uyo is set to host a landmark academic event as the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Samuel G. Odewumi, cordially invites the general public to the institution's 130th Inaugural Lecture.


The distinguished inaugural lecturer for this session is Professor Patrick Linus Akpan (PhD, FAMN, FIMS London). A Professor of Business Administration within the Department of Business Management, Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. Akpan will be addressing a timely and provocative theme:


"Disruptions and the Changing Face of Management in Nigeria: Ventilating a Suffocating Nation."

The lecture is scheduled to take place as follows:

  • Date: Thursday, 26th March, 2026
  • Time: 3:00 PM Prompt
  • Venue: 1000-Seater TETFUND Auditorium, Main Campus, Nwaniba Road, Uyo

Attendance Protocol

University authorities have indicated that all guests should be seated by 2:45 PM. The event is coordinated by the Registrar and Secretary to Senate, Mrs. Blossom E. Okorie.
